Mayan Beach Garden Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

Upon arriving at the Mayan Beach Garden, Marcia and Kim Bales warmly welcome you like members of the family. Lasting friendships are often formed, departing guests giving hugs and promises to soon return. This tiny inn, snuggled on a sandy beach between the sea and jungle, is located in Costa Maya, a remote, newly developing coastal area south of Riviera Maya. Kim (who before retirement built huge apartment complexes) used his skills to build this delightful, tiny hotel. Marcia is an artist, as well as a software designer, so her talents added greatly to the style and design. Not a deluxe hotel, but instead a simple place offering great comfort, including super mattresses and wonderful home-cooked meals. The spacious, nicely decorated, solar-powered guestrooms are divided into two buildings that stagger back from the sea, cleverly designed so that each cabaña has its own private terrace shaded by a thatched roof. You are literally on the beach—just steps from the Caribbean. Beyond the classically sandy beach the turtle grass grows in its natural setting—the environment is the highest priority. The hotel is close to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere and there is an excellent guide who can help you discover this amazing nature preserve. You can explore the world-class coral gardens, take long walks on the beach, or go snorkeling, kayaking or fishing.
