Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Ceiba del Mar Spa Resort returns renovated and glamorous, now with fewer rooms, yet each is much more spacious and enhanced to a new level of 5-star luxury. We think it will appeal to many of you looking for a pretty beachfront property away from the crowds. From the moment you enter into the low-rise reception area with its thatched roof and open-air reception lounge, it is obvious from the very attractive furnishings that good taste abounds. A huge, wrought-iron chandelier dominates the room, which is furnished with handsome sofas, chairs, and tables brought from Guadalajara. The guestrooms are located in eight three-story buildings that form a loop around two swimming pools. Each of the buildings is fresh and pretty, with white stucco walls, wood trim, and a thatched roof. All guestrooms are attractively decorated and offer every amenity. One of my favorites, 1832, has an especially romantic view of the turquoise sea. In addition to the swimming pools, each building has a rooftop garden with a Jacuzzi pool for guests. You also find a spa, beauty parlor, bikes for guests, an exercise room, and even a library where guests can check out books or videos for use in the VCRs in the rooms. However, during the day one certainly wouldn’t want to sit inside and watch movies with that glorious white-sand beach stretching in front of the hotel!
