In 2002 Esperanza joined the glamorous scene of sumptuous resorts in Los Cabos. The hotel, located within a 17-acre property in Punta Ballena (Whale Point), is perched on a gentle bluff over looking dramatic rock formations that enclose two picturesque sandy coves. Thatched casitas that resemble a small Mexican village form the heart of the hotel. Here you find open air restaurants, bars, lounge areas, and a two-tiered swimming pool embraced by a series of terraces leading down to the beach. The hotel’s 57 suites are in a series of three-story buildings. All the guestrooms are beautifully decorated with handcrafted furniture and offer only the finest amenities. A unique feature is that when the glass door facing the sea slides fully open, the bedroom becomes one with a spacious private terrace—many of which have their own plunge pool. Every detail has been planned to indulge the guests. There is even an option to choose which original art you wish to decorate your room while in residence. The restaurants at the hotel are excellent and meals are served outside by candle-light are exceptionally romantic. Although the hotel is super luxurious, it is in no way austere—there is a charming, friendly casual ambiance throughout. For those who want to be especially pampered, the hotel boasts a world class spa.
