Cortina is one of the most frequented spots for travelers passing through the Dolomites on their way up to Austria, or those who just want to get a taste of a mountain resort Italian-style. The multitude of ski lifts and variety of slopes along with the absolutely gorgeous scenery make it an easy winner. The Meublè Oasi is a pleasant, recently updated bed and breakfast on the outskirts of town (easily reached by foot) at the beginning of a pretty residential street. This former private residence dating to 1925 has ten rooms located on the ground and first floors, while the Luchetta family, the original owners, reside on the top floor. New bedrooms are comfortably appointed with pinewood beds topped with fluffy comforters and soft-pea-green curtains and matching chairs. Amenities include satellite TV and phones in the rooms. A good buffet breakfast is served in the downstairs breakfast room with bay window. A small garden to the side of the house offers a restful spot. This is an efficient little hotel maintaining the warmth of a home and the Seppis are true hosts.
