Karen's Review Of This Property:
North of Verona, bordering the Valpolicella wine region, is the magnificent palace of the Arvedi family. The enormous 13th century estate has been in the family since 1874. Featuring well-preserved Renaissance gardens and a 12-meter high frescoed hall, the house can be visited by appointment. Accommodation in twelve suites is reserved for guests in the family's former residence, a turn-of-the-century hilltop villa in the nearby village. Each spacious room located in the upper two floors of the large private residence has a living room area and an eclectic mix of family furnishings with modern amenities such as air conditioning, TV and minibar. The two bedrooms suites are ideal for families. Amiable daughter Anna resides in the main palace but is always present to take care of guests needs and assists in arranging wine tours and other itineraries in the area of Lake Garda and nearby Verona. An informal country breakfast is served in the downstairs kitchen, off the main sitting room with its French windows looking over the surrounding garden.
