Karen's Review Of This Property:
La Morra is a quaint village dominating the Langhe wine valley with spectacular views over undulating layers of striped hillsides. The village, dating back to the 12th century, has six historic churches and a bell tower from the 1600s. There is a comprehensive enoteca in town where most regional wines are presented and sold, plus five other wine bars and six restaurants. The Vibertis have returned to their farm property after living in Alba for some years and now the retired couple enjoys hosting guests from around the world in their pristine white brick farmhouse dating to 1885. Signora Teresa has done a wonderful job of maintaining an authentic ambiance of the farmer’s home. Rooms with worn brick floors retain all the original country antiques, are decorated with embroidered curtains and bedspreads, and have immaculate new bathrooms. All four bedrooms face the road and are off a hallway up on the first floor of one half of the house, while the hosts’ quarters remain separate on the opposite side. A country breakfast with fresh-baked cakes is served downstairs in the guests’ common room. Son Franco speaks English well and is present mostly in the afternoons and weekends, while brother Bruno has just opened his own 14-room hotel in La Morra. Genuine hospitality and ambiance.
