Karen's Review Of This Property:
The town of Brisighella is a gem and comes to life during the first weekend of July with its annual Medieval Festival when games of the period are re-enacted, and medieval music, literature, and dance are produced. Locals attire themselves in appropriate costume and torches illuminate the village’s narrow streets nightly for the occasion. Just out of town sits the sweet farmhouse of Ettore (a former architect) and Adriana, with its 25 acres of organically cultivated vineyards and orchards. Guests can learn about the production of the hosts’ excellent Sangiovese and Chardonnay wines. The renovated barn next to their small brick house holds two guestrooms and a rustic dining area with exposed beams and a large fireplace where guests gather for typical Romagna-style meals. A third bedroom is within their own home and the ex-barn provides two cozy apartments for two to five people. Breakfast is served out on the covered terrace overlooking a quiet valley lined with vineyards. Rooms are decorated with simple country furnishings. The atmosphere is casual and the value excellent. “Must sees” are the mosaics in Ravenna, Bologna’s historical center, and the international ceramic museum in Faenza. La Torre golf club is 8 kilometers away.
