Karen's Review Of This Property:
After being a horticulturist for many years, Pierre Ducruet decided to switch careers. He bought this 19th-century house in 2002 and after an extensive four-year renovation (which preserved many original elements, such as stone walls, fireplaces, and beamed ceilings), Pierre’s dream was realized: once you enter this exquisite four-star bed and breakfast conveniently situated on a quiet square in the historical district of Remoulins, you’ll feel transported back in time. All the rooms are decorated with antique furniture and Provençal fabrics. On the first floor the Louis XIII guestroom has an impressive canopy bed, beautiful fireplace, and a giant bathroom with a corner bathtub and a shower. Pierre kept as many original elements in the rooms as possible. For example, in the Louis XIII guestroom the closet doors were crafted from the home’s original shutters. If you come with your family be sure to ask for the largest room, the apartment Nilla. The master bedroom is Louis XV style, with a spacious wood and marble-detailed bathroom; a stairway leads up to a cozy sitting area. There’s also a nice balcony with gorgeous views. Breakfast is served on a terrace inside a 12th-century tower, which is attached to the main property.
