Karen's Review Of This Property:

Laurence and Claude searched for three years before finding this “perfect” property, a large, Mediterranean-style villa built in the 1980s, conveniently located about midway between the historic villages of Vence and St. Paul de Vence. As you approach the property along a nondescript road, it is difficult to imagine what awaits you, but when you drive through the gates, the splendor of the setting and a warm welcome become a reality. The home sits on a hillside with a sweeping, panoramic view out over the green, rolling hills of Provence. A lovely large swimming pool nestles on the terrace in front of the house, again facing the splendid view, and there is also a clay tennis court. The ground level of the house is the Oliviers’ family home, the guest bedrooms being found upstairs. There is one deluxe suite, but my favorite rooms are the more simple ones: Olivia which has no balcony but has a pretty view from the window, or Emeline, a spacious room with balcony and a lovely view. In the central hallway sits a large table spread with information on what to see and do in this region so rich in beauty and culture. A plentiful breakfast is served in the large summer kitchen with its stone table. Stay here and you will appreciate the quiet ambiance, beautiful views and gracious welcome.

Directions: From Vence, take the road signposted to Grasse. Soon after leaving Vence, at the roundabout, turn left on Chemin de la Sine. La Bastide is on your right after about 1 km.
