Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Bastide Saint Mathieu is a beautiful property. Entry through he huge olivewood door transports you back to years ago. Converting the property from a state of ruin, fortunately, many original elements were preserved, contributing to its romantic ambiance and character. This elegant two-story house offers five spacious suites, Provencal in their decor: fine antiques, wooden floors, fire places, and high-beamed ceilings. My favorite room was the red one with a canopy bed and its own terrace. You will be indulged by the fine linen, drinks tray, a bathroom with separate shower and bath tub including products from the perfumeries de Grasse. Then in the morning enjoy a bountiful breakfast served on the terrace. Weather permitting, afterward relax at the large pool overlooking an acre of olive and fruits trees and colorful flowers. This splendid property offers warmth and charm enhanced by the amenities of a fine small hotel (air-conditioning, satellite TV, internet, elevator) while preserving “ultimate privacy.”

Directions: From A8 exit Grasse sud, turn right. At large roundabout take 2nd right. Next roundabout turn left and then right to the Blue Elephant roundabout. Take exit St. Mathieu-St. Jean. At T junction turn left, follow direction St. Jean; La Bastide is on your left.
