Karen's Review Of This Property:
Villa Velleron had been abandoned for 40 years when the previous owners turned it into a bed and breakfast. During restoration, they discovered treasures such as a beautiful stone wall no one knew existed and clues to the building’s varied heritage—an old olive press and racks used for the processing of silk. Your hosts, Claudia and Christian Hickl extend a warm welcome to individual travelers and families alike. There is a stunning swimming pool romantically nestled on a terrace bordered by picturesque stone walls, and an inner courtyard that simply oozes charm—potted geraniums, ivy-draped walls, fragrant roses, and lush lawn make every niche a dream. It is in this enclosed garden that guests enjoy both breakfast and dinner at small tables draped in pretty Provençal-print fabric. While the sitting and dining rooms have a decidedly Provençal charm, each of the bedrooms follows a specific theme, which varies all the way from Natural to Classy Elegant. Claudia prepares four- to six-course meals with fresh seasonal ingredients from the region. Christian, a frequent traveler, knows from experience what it takes to truly enjoy being a guest.
