Karen's Review Of This Property:
The pretty, old complex of La Croix de la Voulte is built of white regional stone and dates from the 15th and 17th centuries. All the guest bedrooms are found in an independent wing and were renovated with much attention to detail. A high level of comfort prevails: each room has a private bathroom, soft Pakistani carpets covering the stone floors, and luxurious bedding to assure a good night’s sleep. Each room has a private entry and a special character all its own. Anjou, the largest bedroom, is very regal, with a massive old stone fireplace, four-poster bed, old armoire, and tapestry chairs. I adored Périgord, painted in a warm yellow and enjoying the advantage of an end/corner location. Low, beamed ceilings, light-stone walls, and lovely antique furniture add historical character to all the bedrooms. There is a tranquil courtyard, a park with a pond, and a sunny terrace in front of the swimming pool-a pleasant place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Guests may also elect to pamper themselves by bringing ice buckets and glasses that they find in their rooms to the side of the pool to enjoy a drink. This is a gem.
