Karen's Review Of This Property:

Named for the 8 hectares of grand cru vineyards that stretch above the town, the Hotel Winzenberg is a simple, clean little hotel offering good value for money and a warm welcome. The Dresch family, involved in the wine business for many generations, have now achieved great success in the hospitality business. Alexia competently and graciously oversees the welcome and comfort of guests. The building’s dark-orange gabled façade is easy to spot on the village’s main street, a location that means there is a fair amount of traffic noise during the day, though very little at night. The entrance is set back off its own small courtyard and just off the entry a large room with soft-yellow walls and exposed beams is the gathering spot for the hearty breakfast buffet. Guestrooms are similar in decor, with just the color scheme varying. Three of the bedrooms have balconies and they would definitely be the ones to request—especially in the summer when it is nice to sit out for an afternoon glass of wine. Adding a special touch to the decor are the pretty painted murals of Alsatian town and vineyard scenes commissioned specifically for the hotel, which are attractively painted on many of the headboards and dresser tables. While the hotel does not serve evening meals, a popular winestube, Le Pressoir de Bacchus, is just two doors away.

Karen Brown did it again...this little hotel was exceptional! The location was perfect, the rooms and baths were spotless, the price was just right even with the strong Euro, and the staff was wonderful. It is centrally located on the wine route which makes day trips easy in any direction, whether you are driving, biking or walking. We would stay there again and again....We highly recommend Hotel Winzenberg.

A wonderful place to stay. I was not to thrilled with the restaurant next door (note: the restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel), it does not open till 1900 hundred hours, the food was ok., but i absolutely can recommend this great hotel.
