Hôtel de la Bretonnerie

Karen's Review Of This Property:
Located in a quaint, artistic neighborhood of Paris, popular with the gay community, La Bretonnerie offers comfortable and reasonable accommodation. The reception is on the ground floor and sits opposite an inviting sitting area. The rooms are found tucked along a maze of corridors, all attractive in their furnishings, and all with private bathrooms. Many of the rooms are set under heavy wooden beams, some cozy under low ceilings—ours was quite spacious, with 13-foot-high ceilings at the back. A few rooms are two-level and offer a loft bedroom and sitting room below. Although it is not the largest, I like number 37, which enjoys its own balcony and cozy red decor, number 10, a bright corner room and number 12 which is small but charming. In the basement under vaulted beams, heavy wooden tables are matched with high-backed chairs and stage a medieval atmosphere for breakfast. The hotel has a great location within walking distance of the Place des Vosges, the Picasso Museum, the Pompidou Center, and Les Halles. The hotel is set on a quiet street and offers a comfortable and quiet night’s sleep.
