Karen's Review Of This Property:
Get a small group of your best friends together and book a couple of nights at Cooper’s Cove Guesthouse. Don’t plan to leave the premises, except to hike to the beach from out the back door (access to the 40-mile Galloping Goose Trail is only a staircase away). Angelo and Ina have created a casually elegant package deal here: dinner and wonderful rooms with beautiful water views. You don’t have to book dinner; but you’ll want to, at least for one night. Angelo is your personal chef, has a published cookbook, and come dinner time, you’ll join him in his large, sky-lit kitchen and take a high seat at a granite-top counter to watch him at work. Bring your own bottles of wine (no liquor license here) and enjoy watching the creation of your meal. It’s like going to a friend’s—a friend who’s a gourmet cook, for a great dinner: casual, comfortable, informal, informative, and just plain fun. Guests (4 minimum) can also enjoy afternoon cookery lessons. Guestrooms downstairs are bright, modern, clean, and well-appointed with subtly artistic touches in unexpected places. All have king or queen beds with goose-down duvets, fireplaces, water views, private bathrooms and a balcony. Three have access to a shared hot tub; one has a private hot tub. Sherry trays and homemade truffles are delivered to your room. Cooper’s Cove is a great, out-of-the-ordinary destination spot.
