Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Wilder Mann is located in the center of Lans, a sweet village of charming old farmhouses in the hills south of Innsbruck. The Wilder Mann’s fame comes mainly from its restaurant, an exceptionally attractive white-stucco and weathered-wood house with a whimsical oriel window accenting its corner. Still attached to the rear of the building is an old hayloft. Inside are several dining rooms, each oozing country charm, with paneled walls gleaming with the patina of age, Tyrolean-style carved wooden chairs, soft lighting, and many antiques. The guestrooms are not in the same building as the restaurant, but just across the street. Unlike the restaurant, which is within a very old building, the hotel section is newly constructed in a style that mimics the typical farmhouses of the region, with a steep overhanging roof and wooden balconies draped in summer with geraniums. A lavish and bountiful buffet breakfast is offered in the hotel (not in the restaurant) in an attractive room with wooden tables and chairs and a cozy country ambiance. The spacious guestrooms are fresh and pretty, with light-wood furniture, plump down comforters, direct-dial phones, televisions, mini-bars, personal safes, and very modern bathrooms. Many bedrooms have balconies with views up to the mountains. The Landhof Wilder Mann offers a rustic yet sophisticated ambiance and an exceptional value!
